National Cadet Corps (NCC)

1. NCC IIHS organized an awareness lecture on PM-JAY (Ayushman Bharat) under SSCD activities on 12 August 2025, delivered by Dr. Minu Gupta, Lady Medical Officer, University Health Centre.
2. As part of the Har Ghar Tiranga – Independence Day 2025 celebrations, the NCC Unit organized a patriotic rally on 12 August 2025, promoting national pride and unity. The Har Ghar Tiranga Rally commenced from Dharohar, passed through the Vice-Chancellor’s Office and University Market, and concluded at IIHS.
3. The NCC cadets presenting a ceremonial Parade, followed by the unfurling of National Flag by the honorable Vice-Chancellor on 15 august 2025, at, Dharohar, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra.
4. Under Viksit Bharat @2047, a Fitness Awareness Declamation Lecture was organized on 27 August 2025, delivered by Dr. Santosh Dahiya, Head, Department of Physical Education, IIHS.
5. Under Viksit Bharat @2047, NCC IIHS organized a Yoga Session on 27 August 2025, guided by Mrs. Manju Narwal, District President, Patanjali Mahila Yog Samiti. The yoga session emphasized physical fitness, flexibility, mental wellness, and holistic health among NCC cadets.
6. Under the initiative “Viksit Bharat @2047: Making India a Sporting & Fit Nation”, the NCC Unit of IIHS organized a 3 km Fit India Run on 29 August 2025, flagged off by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Kurukshetra University. NCC cadets of IIHS actively participated in the Fit India Run, spreading awareness about fitness, wellness, and an active lifestyle among university students.
7. NCC cadets of IIHS actively participated in a Cleanliness Drive at Kurukshetra University on 17 September 2025, promoting the message of cleanliness and civic responsibility.
8. NCC cadets of IIHS commemorated Shaheed Bhagat Singh’s Birth Anniversary on 28 September 2025 at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Smarak, KUK, paying tribute to the legendary freedom fighter. The event witnessed the presence of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, KUTA President, Principal IIHS, and CSO, who appreciated the discipline and dedication of NCC cadets.
9. NCC cadets of IIHS organized a winter cloth collection drive under “SSCD Activity” on 13 and 14 October 2025, from the residents of the University campus. Collected cloths were sorted and distributed to the unprivileged families in nearby slum areas on 15 October 2025 to spread warmth and compassion this winter.
10. NCC cadets of IIHS celebrated Veer Baal Diwas on 26 December 2025, paying tribute through poems, patriotic songs, speeches, pledges, and slogans. The Veer Baal Diwas programme aimed to instill patriotism, courage, discipline, and moral values among cadets and concluded with the National Anthem.
11. NCC cadets of IIHS pledged on 01 january 2026 to uphold discipline, integrity, and commitment towards national service and personal excellence in the new year. This was conducted under guidance of Dr. Kavita Rani , NCC CTO, IIHS, KUK. This ceremony was eye witnessed by Prof. Rita, Principal, IIHS, Prof, Surender Jaglan and Dr.Sanjeev Garewal of IIHS.
