Eligibility Criteria

ADMISSION WILL BE PURELY ON MERIT BASIS, There is no entrance test

Five-Year Integrated Programmes:-
A candidate shall be eligible to join First Semester of the relevant 5 year Integrated programme, mentioned below, if he/she has passed one of the following examinations with English as one of the subjects and has also obtained 40% marks in aggregate: -

  1. M.Sc.(Bio-Technology): ) (5 year integrated course)
    Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2 Standard) in Science group from the Board of School Education, Haryana, or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto.
  2. M.Sc. (Hons.) Economics: (5 year integrated course)
    Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2 Standard) with Economics/Mathematics/Statistics/Commerce/Computer as one of the subject from the Board of School Education, Haryana, or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto.

Under Graduate Programmes:
A candidate who has passed Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2 Standard) of the Board of School Education, Haryana; or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with at least 40 % marks in aggregate with English as one of the subjects, shall be eligible to join First Semester of the UG Programme.

(i) Bachelor of Arts:

  • Students who pass their 10+2 Examination with English as one of subject.
  • If a student wants to opt mathematics as major subject he/she must have passed mathematics as a subject in senior secondary examination (10+2)

(ii) Bachelor of Science in Physical Sciences

  • Students who pass their 10+2 Examination with English, Physics and Mathematics.
  • If a student wants to opt chemistry as major subject he/she must have passed chemistry as a subject in senior secondary examination (10+2)

(iii) Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences

  • Students who pass their 10+2 Examination with English and biology.
  • To opt for subject(s) in the discipline of Life Sciences, which consists of Botany, Zoology as a one or more than one subject(s), then the candidate must have passed Class XII with Biology as a subject.

(iv) Bachelor of Commerce
Students who pass their 10+2 Examination with English

(v) Bachelor of Computer Applications
Students who pass their 10+2 Examination with English

(vi) Bachelor of Tourism & Travel Management
Students who pass their 10+2 Examination with English

(vii) Bachelor of Science in Home Science
Students who pass their 10+2 Examination with English

(viii) Scheme C :
A candidate who has passed Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (Class XII level) of the Board of School Education, Haryana; or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with minimum passing marks in aggregate with English as one of the subjects, shall be eligible to join First Semester of the Undergraduate (UG) Programme. In addition, the following conditions, if applicable, should also be satisfied:

  1. to opt for Mathematics/Computer Science as a Major subject, the candidate must have passed Mathematics as a subject in the qualifying examination.
  2. to opt for Chemistry as a Major subject, the candidate must have passed Chemistry as a subject in the qualifying examination.
  3. to opt for Major subject in the discipline of Life Sciences, which consists of Botany, Zoology as a one or more than one subject(s), then the candidate must have passed Class XII with Biology as a subject.

Further, eligibility conditions for admission to a programme shall be applicable as mentioned in the scheme of the concerned subject.

A candidate having 2-Year Diploma from ITI or 3-Year Diploma from Polytechnic of minimum 2 years duration qualified with Hindi core/English as one subject or as an additional subject at Class XII level is also eligible for seeking admission in First Semester of the UG Programme in subjects of Arts discipline or in the disciplines wherever mentioned so.

A student is allowed multiple entry into a UG Programme. A student can re-enter into second year of a programme if she has taken an exit option after first year. Similarly, re-entry into the third year is allowed if exit option was exercised by a candidate after getting UG Diploma after second year. In any case, the gap between the exit and the re-entry into the UG Programme should not be more than three years subject to completion of the whole UG Programme within 7 years. Multiple entry shall be allowed in a Department/College/Institute subject to the availability of seats in that programme in that year in that Department/College/Institute.

Minimum Eligibility Conditions for Admission
A candidate who has passed Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (Class XII level) of the Board of School Education, Haryana; or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with minimum passing marks in aggregate with English as one of the subjects, shall be eligible to join First Semester of the Undergraduate (UG) Programme.

Further, eligibility conditions for admission to a programme shall be applicable as mentioned in the scheme of the concerned programme.

Note: Eligibility conditions are subject to change according to the implementation of National Curriculum Framework (NCF) for school education or in accordance with any such guidelines issued by the Central/State Government or issued by University from time to time.

Please note:
For Merit preparation the subjects selection will be : Best of 5
After checking eligibility , merit should be calculated out of best 5 subjects

Example

English Maths Physics Chem Phy edu Bio
50 80 49 70 60 70

Then Total should be 50+80+70+60+70 = 330/5 = 66.0 %
Merit will be : Total percentage + weightage

Important Note: A candidate having compartment in more than one subject in his / her qualifying examination will not be eligible for admission in any programme.
